Yes there is...RAID FINDER Brings in a New Level of Raiding.

There going to be Easy Mode(working title)(at the moment is it called Raider Finder Mode I will be calling it Easy Mode for this Forum and hope it Blizzard Catch's On)

So Before we get into what Raider Finder Is I will like to talk about the Three Modes in the game, Easy Mode, Normal And Heroic.

Normal and Heroic Mode, Blizzard said are for organized Raids. And that this Player Base is about 90% Normal and 5% Heroic. They want Normal Raids to be for Guilds who are looking to progress and to be challenged. And Heroic will be for people looking for that Greater Challenged and being world firstsers and Stuff.

While Easy Mode will before people who have very little time to raid, but yet want to kick Deathwing's, and other Raid Bosses butts. It is is going to be easy to do the Bosses in the raid and will as Blizzard say's Prepare raiders for Normal Raids, Like how Normal Raids Prepare us for Heroic Raids. I think this is a good Idea For Alts u can go Kick End Content's Butt and feel Epic.

Raid Finder Easy Mode Gear will be a little bit under Fire Lands heroic.

Ok we talked about the Easy Mode of Raider Finder Now for the other things about raid finder.

The way it works is that you will Queue just like you do for Dungeon Finder.

In this One it will only work for 25man Raids. That will make it easy to find people. (Tanks Luck out In a way Only 2 Tanks for a raid) While there are many Healers, and DPS for raids. Also I feel it is easy to hide your low DPS in a 25Man than it is in 10man, And Hopefully Out of the 25 People one person can help lead the rest of the Mindless others... I mean Smart other people who do not like to use there brains while playing WoW... Sorry Sorry Sorry I mean people who are new to raiding.

Ghostcrawler said "Raid Finder probably won't share a lockout with Normal and Heroic raids, and Raid Finder gear will be stronger than the new five man heroics, but weaker than normal raids."

And Hopeful it you can queue for Raid Finder Easy Mode as Raid Group, Be Good way to relieve some stress after a night where were been wiping and stop early cause we do not have the DPS or the right group that night. We go in Blow Thought all the bosses in Easy Mode and feel like we Did something great that night and at least got some good Gear, Not the Best Gear but Gear and who hates Gear. (Me ask Ala)

i've talked to my son about this for months. this is great for ppl like me who's free time is limited, but asfar as the quality of players ... no different than dungon finder.

first couple weeks of troll dungons were horrible! hours in there with ppl that had no clue what to do (me included) but now every other run is a bear run, stay possitive cause i see the same thing happening here.

i say gj blizz for doing something for us casual/non serious players

It is definitely going to be interesting. I agree with Tild, it will be a mess PuG-wise for the first month or so and then get progressively better. There is a lot yet to be seen, though.

Some things that I think need to be answered:

How does kicking work? How many are needed to vote to boot, how often can it be done, etc. This is something that both sides will want to know. This should be seen as a learning tool, so it can't be used too frequently or too easily to boot someone after one wipe. On the flipside, if there are numerous people who are consistently holding the group back, there should be a mechanism to get rid of them.

How will the dungeon deserter debuff work? It needs to be long enough to keep people from dropping en masse after 2 wipes, but also set up in a way that doesn't screw your night over if you get a bad group.

On the gear side, I think it will help us, especially early on. The tier pieces can no longer be bought with VP and only drop from bosses (tokens). They said they plan on a lower tier that will drop from these raids that can be mixed with the higher for set bonuses and the ilvl will be between normal FL and heroic FL. This will allow us a path to get more upgrades early on to help progress through the normal mode raids instead of running the old Tier like we did this time around.

Not to mention that this will, hopefully, introduce us to a few of the mechanics we can expect to see in normal modes.

Very interesting. I wonder if this Raid finder is going to be exclusive for the 4.3 raid. I would imagine so, considering how much time it takes to make sure everything is nerfed appropriately.

I can't fathom dropping 25 random people to actually do a raid. Logistics wise, that seems like a horror film. Who will lead the raid? Are people going to be serious and bring consumables, watch the fight or even stay out of the poop? Will the gear requirements be enough?

Thousand and one questions. I would love to go into one (with my popcorn) just to see the chaos

The whole pugging thing isn't what really bugs me about this. I kinda like the idea of getting connections with people on different servers and all that. Even though it's going to completely suck for like a month. It'll be nice to get some alts set in that to see how the raid handles to bring tips for our mains.

The only thing I wonder about is how they're doing to do make-up. Like, 6 holy pallies in one raid isn't really the best of things.

@Lee
What I think they might do is what they do in Dungeons, You can only Kick someone out after 15mins of being in the dungeon. Thats about Maybe One Boss or a few Pulls just right before hitting a Boss. Also I think your are able to leave the Dungeon after 15Mins and Que for other one with out the Debuff. Also if you are Kicked from a Dungeon you do not get a Debuff.

So if Someone Gets Kicked from a Raid I do not thing they should get the Debuff, But they are not able to get back into a raid with the person who started the Kick. What I think they might do for Raid Finder is after 30Mins Maybe be able to Kick someone

@Lindsey
Blizzard said they have a good System that Puts People together so it is a random Mix of diff Classes, Im sure We will not see a Raid with 6 Holy Pallys. Maybe 2 to 3 of them maybe, But there only so many Healers in the game.

Disc/Holy Priest, Holy Pally, and Resto Druid/Shammy. So Most Raids 25man Raids want from 5-7 Healers So there going to be atleast 2-3 of the same healer Class.
As for DPS its going to be the Same thing Hopeful each have diff Specs.

@Devotedfaith
I hope its for All Cata Raids and not just Dragon Soul(Deathwing Raid).
Also People want it for older Raids but I dont think thats going to be there at Launch.

But all are Questions will be answered when Blizzard gives a Post on it or its on the PTR.

Raid Finder Q&A

This is just the first Q&A

All the Below is quoted from Blizzard Q&A

"Q. Raids aren’t dungeons. Who will keep things organized?

A. A Raid Finder raid will require someone to queue as leader. The Raid Finder leader will have a very limited set of powers and cannot change loot type, nor do they have the ability to arbitrarily kick people from the raid. They do have the ability to mark targets and use /raid warning, and can promote other players to be leads as well. To be most successful, each Raid Finder group should have at least one leader who will explain the fights, assign raid markers, and make the tough calls, like who the main tank and off-tanks are."

Someone has to the choice to lead the mindless People... I mean the New People Learning to raid, Kim I say You should do it for ever Easy Mode Raid be a lovely thing for you to do for the World of Warcraft Community.

"...since the Raid Finder cannot be used to access those higher difficulty levels. Naturally, because they’re harder to defeat..."

"Q. Will there be an item level requirement to use the Raid Finder?

A. Yes, accessing raids via the Raid Finder will require that participating characters be level 85 and have attained a certain item level, to help ensure that they are prepared for the content they’ll be facing."

"Q. What kind of raid composition will the Raid Finder create?

A. Each Raid Finder raid will include two tanks, six healers, and seventeen damage dealers. As the raid is assembled, the Raid Finder will attempt to balance the group according to armor type, which should help ensure a healthy mix of melee and ranged dps."

"Q. Can I queue with my friends in a party or raid?

A. Yes, you can queue for the Raid Finder individually, in a party, or in a raid. The Raid Finder can be a great tool to help fill those last few slots in a raid."

This means as a Guild we can queue and Like I said Learn some fights and Get some Good Loot. This will help out are Raid Leaders and Raiders by a lot.

"Q. I’m a dedicated raider with an organized group, what good is the Raid Finder to me?

A. Since instance locks aren’t in play, Raid Finder raids could provide a way for dedicated raiders to gear up alternate characters, fill gaps in their itemization, finish off elusive set bonuses, or just have some fun while preparing to face the normal or heroic version of the raid on the next reset."

For you Lee ---------->v
"Q. Will Vote Kick still work in the Raid Finder?

A. Yes, though many of the same requirements and restrictions will be in place. For example, kicking too many times can result in a Vote Kick cooldown. Also, the thresholds are different, and several players will need to agree on kicking a candidate before the vote begins. Successful kick votes will require a significant number of Yes votes to pass."

So you can kick people, So we all agree that if we get into a raid with Ala we Kick her

"Q. What happens if I leave a Raid Finder raid before it’s over?

A. Players who leave the Raid prematurely will receive a Deserter Debuff, though it will likely be of longer duration than the one applied to users of the Dungeon Finder. This debuff will only apply to the Raid Finder system."

There a few Other things, One If you do a Easy Mode Raid you do not share/get saved to the Lock out. That means You can Do this Easy Mode many Times a Week. So You can Keep Doing the Same Over and Over Again, Like a Ride, Keep Going on it, over and over again... Im trying to be dirty if you did not catch that lol. But You will not get Loot over and Over again sorry.

"Q. How will loot be distributed?

A. Automatic rolls and the Need Before Greed loot rules will apply in Raid Finder raids, just as they do in Dungeon Finder instances. Also, while Dungeon Finder raids aren’t locked, you are only eligible for loot from a boss once per week. This means that if you were present for the defeat of a boss, whether you receive loot or not, then you will automatically pass on loot that drops during later attempts on that boss during the same week."

An Update to Raid Finder

To Queue for Raid Finder you need to have an Item Level of 365

(Blizzard should have a Raid Test. With a Few Questions that are done in game. Question one You are standing in Fire what do you do: Stand there and get Healed or RUN THE HELL OUT? Raid Leader has told you to stop DPS and run to a Mark on the Floor: Do you Keep DPS so Recount shows how Epic you are or Run to that Mark? There are Cookies and Milk in your bag And Buff Food on the Floor: Do you Eat the Cookies and Milk or Eat the Buff Food?) Answers are right there VV

Also I would think that if you are able to Install the PTR, Copy your Char(or make a Premade) and then Log into the PTR that would show that you have some level of INT. But Sadly No people still do not listen to a Raid Leader, They Stand in Fire, Slime or something that That is killing you and are wondering why a healer not healing you, Keep DPSin the Boss when You need to run out and do something else that is not DPS, or not Eat Buff food which is that that important on the first boss of a raid most of the time lol.

  • Problems
  1. Thats just the first Problem that most of you thought was going to be a Problem. Lets talk about Raid Finder Kicking. Say we did this boss and wiped, 6 people Rage but just log off and now are Offline. As Raid Lead you kick all of them. Now you here that one person in this raid is being a Dick, So you gots to Kick them Oh wait you used up all your Kicks on those off liners.
  2. But wait there more Problems Say you Join a Raid and 4 People Leave while Doing Trash, The boss is right in front of you, you want to get 4 new People to do this boss so Raid Leader goes and Queues but One Person has gone to the bathroom, So No Queue. Need to wait on that person to be done in the Bathroom.

  • It is the PTR, PTR is for Bug Testing
So Hopefully Because this is just the PTR it will all be fixed and changed for when it goes Live. Free Kicking of Off Liners and Being able to Queue with not everyone confirming, be good if say just need a Tank a Healer and 5 DPS to confirm or something like that.
